Property Damage- 11-202580, 207501, 205612, 205723, 206649, 206674, 212461 - Halton Regional Police Service is investigating seven acts of vandalism to local residences in Burlington.
During the month of December 2011, six houses on Hammond Street were the target of vandalism. In each incident a rock or stone was thrown through the front window of the home.
The first reported incident was December 1st, where a front bay window of the house received $1300.00 in damages.
On the evening of December 7th five more homes had rocks/stones thrown through the front windows. In some cases residents were at home and awakened by the sound of breaking glass. Total damage to these houses is estimated at $2000 - $3000.
A seventh incident occurred on December 18th, when a rock was thrown through the rear window of a car that had been parked in a residential driveway

Break and Enter–12-12361 - Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a break and enter to a local retail store in Acton.
Sometime between 5 p.m. on January 21st and 12:30 p.m. on January 22nd, unknown suspect(s) attended “Shoppers Drug Mart” located at 252 Queen Street East. The suspect(s) pried open the rear door in the loading area of the premise. Once inside, it appears the suspect(s) entered several office areas, then left the premise empty handed. It is believed the suspect(s) may have been searching for cash. Nothing else was damaged or taken.

Break and Enter–12-14814- Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a break and enter to a local residence in Milton.
Sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on January 26th, unknown suspect(s) gained entry to a home located on Oak Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) rummaged through the several rooms of the house and removed $5,300 worth of property. Stolen items include a black Cannon D40 Camera, a black 16 GB IPad 2, a silver 15.4” Macbook Pro Laptop, Model A 1286, a white 13” Macbook Model A1181, a 2009 Master LLC, White Beats by DRE head phones, and 8 Permatex Safety knives.

Theft from Auto–12-15660- Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a theft from auto in Oakville.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on January 28th, a Crimson Oak Trail homeowner heard the garage door to his residence opening. The victim went to investigate and discovered that his vehicle which was parked in his driveway had been entered by an unknown suspect. The suspect was scared off by the victim, and could only be described as male wearing dark clothing with an average build.
Halton Regional Police would like to remind residents to secure their vehicles, do not keep anything of value inside, and whenever possible, park your vehicle inside your garage.
